Welcome back to school!
The 7th grade team would like to welcome all our students and their families. We are looking forward to an exciting and educational year. We hope you will check our blog at http://fmsgrade7.blogspot.com/ for updates and changes throughout the year. Please take note of the 7th grade school supply list, as well as any supplies individual teachers may request. Please make sure your student has everything he/she needs as soon as possible. If there is a problem obtaining a supply, please have your student speak with his/her teacher. Some basic information regarding school/grade level policies:
· Back packs, purses, and bags of any kind need to be left inside lockers during the school day.
· Hats and coats need to be left inside the locker during the school day.
· Cell phones and other electronic devices need to be left inside the locker during school days. Teachers and the school will not be responsible for missing or damaged items. Our recommendation: if you don’t need it in school – leave it at home.
· Students should not share their locker combinations with other students.
· Students will be allowed to visit their locker before 1st period, after 3rd period, before 6th period, and after 7th period. Students should not be at their lockers at any other time.
· Students need to have (and actively use) their planner and a free read book.
· Students are expected to bring necessary supplies to all classes and be in their seats and ready to learn on time.
· Please be aware of Fremont Middle School’s dress code policy. All tops need to cover the collar bone and mid-drift, all bottoms need to fit properly, all clothing should be clean and in good condition (i.e. – no rips), and all clothing should be free of distracting or inappropriate designs or sayings. At FMS, we encourage students to dress for success daily!
· Progress reports will only be sent home for students with D’s or F’s in class unless otherwise requested. Please make use of the parent portal on Infinite Campus to keep updated on your student’s progress. It’s a great program! Should you need assistance with it, please contact one of your student’s teachers or the office.
· The entire 7th grade team has a No Late Work policy. Unless your student is absent, he/she will be expected to turn all assignments in on the due date. Absences will follow the school policy of 1 make-up day for every day absent.

Thank you for all your support! We hope to see you at our Back to School night on August 27th 6-8pm.
