2nd quarter letter
Dear Parents / Guardians of Seventh-Graders,
Whew! We’ve made it through the first quarter of our seventh grade year! Students have worked hard to adjust to a new social environment, get used to having seven different teachers, and organize their work. It’s been a challenge, and we appreciate all of your hard work and theirs. As we head into the new quarter, we look forward to and interesting and productive nine weeks!
Homework that you should expect from each class includes:
Language Arts
n/a
Language Arts homework is not assigned on a regular basis.
Math
Homework Sheet
Math homework usually consists of a few questions per day (Monday – Thursday) to be completed by Friday.
Science
n/a
Science homework is not assigned on a regular basis. Some home time may be needed to complete work that was not finished in class.
Social Studies
n/a
Social Studies homework is not assigned on a regular basis. Check your student’s planner for any intermittent homework assignments.
Reminders:
Dress Code
Girls need to wear shirts that come up to their collar bone.
Students may not wear ripped or torn jeans.
Backpacks
All backpacks and purses must remain in lockers all day.
Backpacks must be small enough to fit inside school lockers.
Parent Portal
Grades are not updated on a daily basis. They are updated every two weeks, depending on the teacher. Blank boxes do NOT effect student’s grades (only a *M or *Missing does). A blank box either means that a teacher has not entered that particular grade yet or the student is exempt from that assignment.
Absences
Students need to bring a note to school if they are gone.
If a student will be gone for more than two days, parents may request homework.
Thank you!
The 7th Grade Team
Ms. Christine Shinofield, Language Arts 784-2574
Ms. Jane vanOosten, Math 784-2558
Mrs. Tabitha Selakovich, Science 784-2561
